Pesisir Lestari's Conservation Action program restores and protects vital coastal ecosystems. We use a community-driven approach, engaging locals in hands-on projects like participatory restoration and sustainable fisheries management. Our goal is to restore habitats, boost biodiversity, and build climate resilience for a sustainable future.
CO-MANAGEMENT
Pesisir Lestari's Co-Management program is all about empowering coastal communities to be active stewards of their natural resources. We believe that the most effective conservation strategies are those developed together. Our work combines local wisdom with scientific tools like GIS to create collaborative management plans. This ensures that resources are used sustainably, benefiting both the community and the environment.
SOCIAL ENTERPRISE & BUSINESS INCUBATION
Our Social Enterprise Business Incubation program is designed to help communities launch and grow sustainable businesses that protect their natural environment. We provide crucial support through training, mentorship, and market access. Our goal is to balance economic growth with ecosystem preservation, empowering communities to thrive through ventures like eco-tourism, non-timber forest products, and blue carbon initiatives.
ADVOCACY
Our Policy and Advocacy program champions the rights and voices of coastal communities. We believe that local people are the best stewards of their environment and that their knowledge and rights must be at the heart of conservation efforts. We work to ensure that community voices shape national and local conservation agendas through targeted campaigns, documentation of traditional knowledge, and lobbying for inclusive governance.
