Barakalla Robyn supports Yayasan Pesisir Lestari as their Executive Advisor leveraging his past experience on Climate Mitigation & Adaptation realm and a deep dive on Blue Carbon issues in setting up blue carbon projects in Asia Pacific countries and to develop conservation financing strategies and mechanisms. Experienced in working closely with the local coastal communities in blue carbon assessment in Kaimana Regency in West Papua Province where it is the last sanctuary for pristine mangroves in Indonesia.
Some relevant experiences on ocean-climate policies and regulation, natural capital accounting for coastal ecosystem, climate transparency and sustainable climate financing.
His current focus are Blue Carbon, Climate Adaptation, Coastal Conservation & Restoration, Indigenous Rights & Knowledge, Livelihoods and Sustainable Financing for Adaptation.
Graduated from University of Technology Sydney on Environmental Engineering Management for his master’s degree and Gadjah Mada University on Physical Geography and Environment for his bachelor.
